How do I lose fat without gaining more mass?

Date Posted: July 22nd, 2010 Posted Under: how to lose fat

I’m a 17 year old competitive female athlete and am continually excercising. I run 4-8 miles a day including an hour or so of weight training and play competitive soccer 4 days a week. I started off being VERY thin and petite and have worked my way to having an athletic built and am bigger than i’d prefer. I’m currently on my off season and it seems my muscle is turning to fat and i’m just gaining mass. How do I lose body fat and get my lean and toned figure back?

hey, you know what? The most unexpensive weight loss thing to do, is to try to burn more calories than you eat, dont eat unhealthy like a 500 calorie diet! All that will do is make you sick, you NEED to be healthy to lose weight properly. Im trying to lose weight too! So basically here are some tips to speed up your metabolism: Drink 1-3 glasses of green tea a day
Try and eat Chilli peppers somehow, ((chilli DUH )) they help.
8 classes of water a day

the more active you are, the faster your metabolism will grow to be.

did you know that breathing for an hour burns 60 calories all on its own? And SLEEP is very important, try to go to sleep on time and get your ages average amount of sleep,. ask your doctor what a healthy weight for you is, and then after you have reached that goal do sit ups and crutches - among many other core excersises, Run to slim out, and make sure you burn more calories than you eat - had to repeat that!

Fruits and veggies are REALLY low in calories and FULL of nutrition. If you like Tacos? Ditch the hard shell, maybe try a taco salad.. without the shell of course! Lettuce with meat is good, but PLEASE try mixing it with turkey and beef so that it isnt all fat. Chicken salad is good, you want the protein but you dont want fried anything really, once in a while if fine but remember - YOU HAVE TO BURN OFF THOSE EXTRA CALORIES. Excersises excersise excersise. Dont over do it - dont starve yourself, be moderate and stay active. GOOGLE: 100 ways to burn 100 calories, their are some pretty cool things you can do!

Stay away from starchy and high carb foods - mostly white things. Bread is a bad, so try to stick to thin, HIGH in fiber, slices :)

you can google all the stuff and before you know it you will feel so good about it all and IM actually excited to start working out and all that, just because I know what it will do for me!

but if you must go with a diet, try Weight Watchers, its the only one I actually recommend. :)

Burn Fat Fast With Negative Calorie Foods

Date Posted: July 21st, 2010 Posted Under: burn fat fast

If you want to burn fat and lose weight safely, why not take advantage of some of natureâ??s most perfect foods? These are foods that not only taste great, but work with your body to burn fat and accelerate your weight loss at the same time.

These are called â??negative calorie foodsâ? because of the way your body processes them. By eating negative calorie foods, you actually burn fat and see weight loss because your body burns more calories digesting these foods than you actually take in from eating them.

In other words, a dessert containing 450 calories may only take 150 calories for your body to digest. So you have a net gain of 300 calories. But a fresh vegetable that has around 50 calories will take your body 100 calories to digest. So you are burning 50 more calories than you are taking in, resulting in a â??negativeâ? caloric intake of 50 calories.

What is a perfect example? An apple. Not only is an apple tasty and good for you (an apple a day, remember) but a medium sized apple puts about 100 calories into your system.

However, you burn around 130 to 150 calories to digest the apple; so you are burning more calories through digestion of the apple than you are taking in from eating it. You actually have a negative caloric intake from eating the apple.

There are several excellent negative calorie foods that you should try and incorporate into your diet on an everyday basis if you want to burn fat and lose weight. And not surprisingly, these foods are some of the healthiest foods you can eat when it comes to weight loss.

However, donâ??t design a diet using only negative calorie foods. That would not only be boring, but unhealthy for you as well. Why not try and incorporate negative calorie foods as a supplement to what you would normally eat on a daily basis?

For example, instead of that baked potato, why not have some extra broccoli, spinach, or some other leafy greens instead? Substitute that high sugar cereal with some yogurt and fresh blueberries, strawberries, or blackberries.

And everyone has heard of the â??grapefruit dietâ?; the grapefruit diet works because it is another negative calorie food. Sweeten the tartness of grapefruit with a little cinnamon (which helps bump up your metabolism as well).

Substitute salmon for that steak or prime rib; not only is salmon high in protein and omega 3 fats (the good fat), but it is another great negative calorie food that your body craves. And grilled salmon is one of the best tasting fish recipes available to you.

Nuts are a great substitute for candy; replace those Hershey kisses with a handful of almonds or cashews. Nuts are a great source of vegetable protein, and they boost the immune system as well as lowering bad cholesterol levels.

Also, replace those sodas with some green tea. Green tea is loaded with antioxidants, and has a high thermogenic effect which cranks up your metabolism to help burn fat and lose weight as well.

And there is no special green tea you need to get at some health food store. Simple green tea you find at the grocery store will work just fine. If you canâ??t take the taste of green tea, try some green tea extract available in pill form in the vitamin aisle. Just make sure that you get the 500 mg or higher tablets to get the full benefits of the antioxidants in green tea.

Or try the old standby of simply adding some fresh squeezed lemon to a glass of water. Most citrus fruits are negative calorie foods, and they have a full complement of nutrients that your body needs.

Try and experiment with adding at least one negative calorie food to every meal. You are not going to drop 20 pounds overnight; but over time you will see results in your quest to burn fat and lose weight.

And it will also be a healthy weight loss, since most negative calorie foods are good for your body in the first place.

How do you lose fat in your face?

Date Posted: July 1st, 2010 Posted Under: how to lose fat

How do you lose the fat in your face. Im skinny bout 130 pounds but muscular at age 16 bout 5′6 or 5′7 and have a sorta chubby face. I would love to lose that and get a skinnier face look but how?

that sounds like what people refer to as ‘baby fat’ at your age, and it will probably disappear as you mature and hormones change. there is no way to really lose fat in one area, you lose weight all over when you are in a calorie deficit (using more calories than you eat) and when you don’t have any stored anywhere else, your face will get thinner, too…but are you sure it is fat? puffiness can be from water retention…consuming too much sodium, not drinking enough fluids are things that can cause this.
