    Does anybody out there believe that Michael Phelps is sending the wrong message,that he loves fast food?
    Obesity levels in young adults is up 35% .These kids don’t burn off calories swimming like he does…He needs to cool it with all that talk of high calories ,it may be good for him ,,but many kids will try to emualte him and eating like he does is not healthy for our already overweight kids..

    oh give it up!!!!!!!! Parents need to make sure their kids are healthy!
    Phelps works out like mad, if every kid did that, they could eat whatever they want too. instead they sit in front of TV’s and scarf down crap because their damn parents are too lazy to make them go out and play!
    Quit blaming every problem in the world on someone else!

    i dont think you understand how much food that truly is, it is truly impressive, thats hard to do. he also does this to stay alive he needs to do this. kids would have hard times trying to copy him, they would need there parents to give them so much money each day.
    also michael phelps ate fast food yes but the amout of health food he ate before the olympics about 12 years for him was kinda hard i bet, he probably hadnt had a cheeseburger in over 8 monthes (well not that he could announce) so he wanted something that he wasnt able to have earlier

    I think what Michael Phelps was trying to say was, it was a very long time since he had have some fast food and since the competition is over, he can finally relax a little then go back to all his training.

    And also, I doubt that Michael Phelps will ever send the wrong message to kids. More like, if you exercise daily and stay healthy, you can eat fast food once in awhile.

    The problem is not with phelps liking fast food, but with poor eating habits of fat kids. I swim and I can eat what I want, as much as i want, when i want. Have a fat kid swim for a year and they’ll get in shape in no time

    We do you want him to lie and say he doesn’t like fast food? I mean seriously he excersizes so much in one day he can eat pretty much whatever he would like to. Its not like hes doing commercials for McDonalds or anything. Lighten up. Its not his fault or fastfood joint’s fault people are obese. Its their own fault that they eat fast food as much as they do.

    ok, how many kids(who arnt in a swimming club) actually care about Phelps!!!! Like when I was 8 i saw Thorpe @ the Sydney olympics, but nobody in my elementary knew who he was!!! and its not like swimming is a popular sport to watch in America!!! Its all up to the parents to feed there kids right, and if its a teenager watching him eat all this, they need to be smart enough to know that he burns it all off!!!!!…its just common sense!!!
