If exercise loses fat all over the body … Will only one type of exercise be enough to lose weight ?

Date Posted: August 27th, 2009 Posted Under: how to lose fat

For example, I done a lot of cycling more than any other exercise … Does it mean I would lose fat all over the body and not just my legs ?

And if so, how much cycling (I got a exercise cycle at home) would you recommend me to do ?

Thanks

Cycling and or sometimes called spinning. Is a great way to lose weight. Regardless of what exercise you do, you will lose weight all over. You can measure this by measuring yourself once every 30 days and write down the results. Cycling/spinning will for sure tone your legs and butt. So its a good idea to lift some free weights at home for your upper body. If you want to build muscle increase your protein. Don’t stop eating carbs, but cut back on the carbs.. Eats lots of whole grains, green leafy veggies. Stay away from fruit juices and eat natural fruits or juice them. I don’t have a juicer, but I blend my fruits int he blender when I want to drink it instead of eating them. Also drink lots of H20 to flush that waste and toxins laying around in your intestines. Green tea is the best. The dieter’s green tea will help you flush out real good. Lipton’s green tea, and green teas that are not green will not work. You need a real green tea that looks green to rid your body of toxins… Again drink half your body weigh- h20.. Example, if you weigh 200 lbs then you should be drinking 100 oz of h20 a day..

Cycling will make you lose fat all over your body, but it will also build muscle in your legs, so if you dont want a lot of muscle, you need to do other exercises. Also, only doing one exercise eventually makes your body get used to the work out and then you stop burning fat. You have to change it up a bit. Try cycling 4 times a week and another exercise (walking, running, swimming) the other 2 days, and leave a day for rest. You shouldn’t exercise more than 6 days a week because it tires out your body too much.

Just cycle until you’re tired. Do it for as long as you can, but not so much that you get dizzy or sick. If you start to feel dizzy or sick, stop immediately.

Who knows! There is no set amount of exercise for people, but the general rule is that you should get 30 minutes of exercise a day in addition to normal, daily exertion (ie, getting ready for work, walking a couple miles, grocery shopping, daily cleaning, etc, etc)

Yes, you’ll lose fat all over, but you’ll only build muscles in your legs.

Cycling will make you gain muscle mass on your legs. You should do two types of exercise … the first is cardio which is like cycling, jogging, punching bag, this type of exercise gets your heart rate up and your metabolism working. The second type is resistance or weights training - dumb bells, squats, et cetera, this is very important for muscle strength and toning. You shouldn’t do just one type of exercise without the other.

I would recommend an overall workout which includes different types of exercises. You need cardio and weights, and you need to vary it so your body doesn’t get used to the same thing.

I sometimes go onto these websites for help, they have photos of how to do the exercises properly…

You cant target weight loss that means you will lose weight all over. No you dont need to do anything other than control your diet to lose weight.

I cycle and have many friends who cycle. We ride 40-100 miles every Saturday. I also do some easy weight training, running, and treadmill 3-4 days during the week to be balanced.

Many of the cyclist I ride with just cycle and they are very slim.

Normally focusing on cycling will help grow your leg muscles. However if you cycle in sufficient durations, it should burn a lot of calories. Hence you still able to burn fat all over the body.
I would recommend you cycle 1 hour per day.
