Is this a good diet to bulk up on muscle and lose body fat?

Date Posted: January 15th, 2010 Posted Under: how to lose fat

7am oatmeal, 9am quaker chewy, 12pm chicken ,potatoe, apples, milk, 3pm protein shake and apple, 6pm chicken or fish, 9pm apple. My goal is to bulk up on muscle and lose body fat at the same time I already have my exercising plan down, I just wanna know if my diet is good.

Hi,
This is a very good diet to start with.
You’re getting a decent amount of protein, which is needed if you want to bulk up.
You’re also eating every 2-3 hours, which is good to keep your metabolism working to help you lose body fat.

The only concern I have is that you’re still not getting enough protein to really allow you to build muscle adequately. I’d suggest adding 1 more protein shake to your diet at some point throughout the day.
Ideally, try to have one about 30-45 mins before your workout, and then another one immediately after your workout. Giving your body the protein it needs at the right times is very helpful in making your muscles grow.

Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions.

I have tried every diet known to man but nothing worked as well as acai berry. I know they say that pills won’t work, however they certainly worked for me, and they have been featured on CBS News too. There’s a free trial happening currently at http://cecucn.bestslimmingforyou.info , why not try it, why not?

first thing to understand is that bulking up requires more calories in than calories burned. Losing fat requires more calories burnt than calories in. Bulking and cutting are two different processes to be done separately.

Can’t tell whether your diet id good to bulk up cause you don’t say how much of each thing you eat. Also you should be eating around every 3rd hour to bulk

thats really hard to do and probably wont happen, at least not with great results OR in quick time.

I say you lose weight first, or do it in intervals.
    3 months fat loss
    1 months muscle gain.
    3 months fat loss
    1 month muscle gain
until you eventually look slimmed down

    Pretty good.

You can make it better if you make a few substitutions:
    sweet potato for regular potates
skim milk or soy milk for regular milk

Apple is okay, but try to mix in some other types of fruits — oranges, blueberries, melons, etc.
