how can we charge those marines with murder?

and iam a marine so so my heart hurts for our grunts as for the corpsman whocares and those pinko republicans can kiss my fat a$$
i hate republicans has nothing to do with the question……..but who is to care for those grunts families after their ucmj trials
Ooorah! Semper Fi! Tell em’ like it is! This is a bunch of crap! They tortured, and decapitated those two young soldiers. Do you see the Iraqi Tribunal (if there is such a thing) trying their insurgents for war crimes? HECK NO! I fully understand OUR rationale for using rules of engagement. (Which I might add, changed more times than I could blink. But that’s another issue.)
We follow the Geneva Conventions. They know this and they use this against us. Man this STINKS! I’m serious. I hate to say it but I’d like to see Israel come in there and just rip that entire country into pieces and be done with it! P.S. I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO TALK BECAUSE I SERVED IN THAT CRAP HOLE OF A COUNTRY FOR SEVEN MONTHS! RAH!

umm…first off, it’s the Democrats what want retaliation on the marines for throwing a Koran down a toilet, not the republicans.
Second off, if the Marines did kill, they can be charged with murder. That’s how laws work. Those jacks that cut off American heads will get what’s coming to them, don’t worry.

"We" won’t do that. That’s why there’s a court-martial that will deal with the Marines’ deadly actions against an Iraqi family. Instead, focus on the quagmire the President has created by putting our troops in harm’s way!

if we applied today’s charges to those of world war two Europe would be speaking German and Nazi still in cont roll what do you think we did to the German cities like dresin? fire bomb killed many civ but it was war no one was charged after ward this is really bull i fell sorry for our guys fighting in Iraq

I agree with the first comment - laws are in place to make sure things like marines killing civilians don’t happen because it makes us no better than the terrorists are… if you were a little Iraqi kid, wouldn’t you think of American soldiers as terrorists if they killed someone innocent right in front of you? I sure would. Part of being a leader and helping these people is setting a good example of how people should live and treat one another.
On another note, the guy who posted this comment in the first place I have all the respect in the world for, but his comments and poorly written question just show how uneducated some of the people we are sending there really are - our guys probably don’t know any better, especially out there.

Because, aren’t we over there to "protect" and help people…didn’t our commander in chief call this an opportunity to save people from mean Saddam Hussein who raped women and killed their familys.. and some of our soldiers are doing the same? We are supposed to be fighting "the bad guys" not raping innocent women and civilians. This war is stupid anyway…Iraq was no threat to us. Your comment about "ragheads" is disturbing too, very racial… may I remind you that many countries, as America is a melting pot, and there are all races, religions, and cultures that make up this great land of ours, and yes, that includes "ragheads". May God forgive us and our leadership for what we have done in Iraq, as well as what our "enemies" have done.

I am serving in Iraq as I am writting this answer. I face death everyday and yet I still know right from wrong. I believe in the justice system and they should get a fair trial. If they did it then they are making the rest of us that are doing the right thing look bad and puts us at a greater danger.

It’s interesting that these charges came from Iraqi civilians that are friendly to the insurgency. How come that fact is not reported.

it dont matter, in my opinion bush needs to be impeached and put to death, he started this war so that he could make his dad george sr love him, he started the war to get even for what his dad could not get done. he really does needs to be impeached and at least spend his miserable life in prison on 2,000 plus counts of first degree murder, which means he knew he was going to start this war

Hey Bashar! I get stoned all of the time! My favorite hobby is black-marketing Playgirl magazine to all of the repressed Islamic women! Most of all, I’d like to see the United States Military adopt the Iraqi policy of torturing and beheading everybody all the way to the point where the towelheads wouldn’t be able to wave their white flags quick enough… either that, or pull every last American soldier and Marine out of that den of iniquity and let the Air Force unleash a little technology until the place was nothing more than a crater and an afterthought in world history!
